scientists and other technical service experts, our Quality Assurance team
has the authority to disapprove any supplier who fails to meet Sysco's rigorous
quality parameters, and to recall any product from the marketplace. These professionals
are given a high level of autonomy to make these sensitive and crucial decisions.
Special care is also taken with key product lines where safety is a concern and
where product consistency may vary - such as with fresh and processed meat, poultry,
seafood and produce.
Through written product specifications and continual on-line inspections during
the processing of Sysco Brand products, the Quality Assurance team functions
as Sysco's eyes and ears through all stages of Sysco Brand product development.
Such close monitoring guarantees our customers consistently safe, wholesome and
high-quality products.
